First Race, Wednesday December 3rd

The team's first race of the season is this Wednesday, December 3rd at Elm Creek Park Reserve.  This is a "Skate Age Group Race".

Limited parking is available at the chalet so it is suggested to arrive no less than 40 minutes before the race to allow time for taking the shuttle bus from the swim beach parking area to the chalet (Winter Recreation Area), and finding a spot to cheer on your skier (the best spot is near the start and finish line which is the "practice area"...just follow the crowd). Dress warm and wear snow boots!

Here is the race schedule and format:

At 20 second intervals a skier will start and do two laps on the man-made snow loop.
3:30        Senior Boys
3:33        Junior Boys
3:36        Sophomore Boys
3:39        Freshman Boys and Returning Middle School Boys
4:00        Senior Girls
4:03        Junior Girls
4:06        Sophomore Girls
4:09        Freshman Girls and Returning Middle School Girls

At 20 second intervals a skier will start and do one lap on the man-made snow loop.
4:30        “Newbie” Boys
4:35        “Newbie” Girls

Per Coach Charlie...Parents must check out skier with a Coach before leaving the race if the skier will not ride the bus back to the school.
